What is Explore Mode?

  • A visual explorer for all your content. Pan, zoom and move across your Fabric digital mind.
  • Explore relations between similar content.
  • Shuffle / hop to a random item, for serendipitous rediscovery.
  • Magically group your content by creation date, creator, kind, and more.

How do I activate Explore Mode?

Just click Explore mode on the app home screen, or the icon inside any folder or space. Where you activate Explore mode will define what content it shows to you – if you open it inside a space, it will show content from that space.

What can I do in Explore Mode?

  • Click on any card to focus on it and see related keywords and content. Click on another card to focus it and see what is related to it. You can infinitely hop between items, giving you new way to explore.
    • To exit the focused state, just click anywhere in empty space.
  • Click I'm feeling lucky to hop to a random card.
  • Choose an option for the Gather by... dropdown to magically arrange your content into groups, letting you explore that way.
  • You can also select filters in the top right, reducing the amount of content.

How can I pan and zoom around in Explore Mode?

  • To move around (pan): just use 2 fingers on your trackpad, or hold down the wheel on your mouse.
  • To zoom in or out: pinch/spread your fingers on your trackpad, or hold Cmd orCtrl and scroll your mouse wheel.

How do I get back to the center in Explore Mode?

Simply click the icon to recenter your explorer.
